Not today.

seasoned nonprofit support when things feel like too much.

What do we say to
nonprofit burnout?

You chose nonprofit work because you wanted to make a real difference. The work matters—and it’s personal.

But every day feels like a scramble. Big-picture work slips through the cracks.

The urgent crowds out the important.

And strategy time? Hijacked by the latest surprise crisis.

You can feel burnout creeping in because there’s never enough time to do the work well, only fast.

I get it because I’ve lived it, led through it, and helped teams untangle it.

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out solo.

When the overwhelm hits hard, sometimes you need someone who understands the terrain.

Someone with real-world experience, hard-won clarity, and a calm presence in the chaos.

Someone who can help you get clear, confident, and back on track.

I offer practical, experienced guidance for overwhelmed nonprofit teams and emerging leaders—bringing a steady hand, a strategic brain, and clear next steps.

Now take a deep breath and repeat after me:

You don't have one job—you have
five, on a good day.

IF “OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED” HAD A FACE, YOU’D BE GIVING IT SIDE EYE.

NOT TODAY

Clear options. No pressure. We’ll find the right fit.

Somewhere between grad school and starting my own business, I traded Fauvism for firewalls (and other things).

Nonprofit work wasn’t my plan. But once I was in, I was in.

Over two decades of nonprofit work, I wore a lot of hats: grant writer, project wrangler, systems fixer, communications lead, IT translator, executive-level leader.

Notable moments?
  • Led major tech upgrades across 15 locations.
  • Managed ~$17 million in grant submissions annually.
  • Won two local ADDYs for agency annual reports design & execution, along with my colleagues.

Over time, I became the person colleagues sought out for grounded advice and clear thinking.

An art historian walks into the
IT department.

Hey, y'all. I'm kristen. and yes, i'm That art historian.

I made the tough decision to leave an agency and people I cared about (and still do) to build something more sustainable, more flexible, and rooted in what I do best: strategic thinking, systems-level clarity, and calm decision-making.

Now I help nonprofit teams make confident decisions through smart strategy, clear thinking, and real-world support.

And then burnout hit.

Whether you’re tackling a tough decision, shaping a plan, or bracing for a hard conversation, you’ll walk away with grounded advice, fresh perspective, and a clear sense of what matters most.

Take confident next steps.

I’ll steer you toward the right kind of support based on your needs. If your goals need more time or a custom approach, I’ll tell you—and we’ll figure out what actually works for you.
